Agent buying guide

Aged leads or inbound calls? Compare the work behind the price.

Both can start a sales process. The important difference is how you reach the person, how much time that takes and what a real result costs your business.

A contact record versus a live conversation.

An aged final expense lead is a contact record from an earlier expression of interest. Its age can vary widely, so “aged” is not enough information on its own. You still need to reach the person and establish whether the original interest, contact details and circumstances are current.

An inbound final expense call starts when a person chooses to call about coverage. With Adlux, the conversation is routed to your selected delivery number. You spend less of that workflow attempting the first outbound contact, but you still need to qualify the caller and earn the sale.

Compare cost per outcome—and your time.

A lower price per lead does not automatically mean a lower cost per policy. A higher price per call does not guarantee a better result either. The useful comparison is what you spent to reach a consistently defined outcome.

For example, if 100 contact leads cost $1,500 and five lead to issued policies, acquisition cost is $300 per issued policy. If 20 billable calls cost $900 and three lead to issued policies, it is also $300 per issued policy. These are arithmetic examples, not Adlux performance claims.

Then compare the work needed to produce those outcomes: dials, contact attempts, talk time, follow-up and administration. An inbound workflow can remove outbound contact attempts from the first interaction. That gives you time back, but you should measure the hours saved in your own business.

Which workflow suits you?

Aged leads may fit if…

You have a consistent outbound process, time for repeated contact attempts and a clear understanding of the lead’s age and history.

Inbound calls may fit if…

You can answer during the hours you select and want more of your working time to start with a live caller.

Either way, measure…

Spend, contacts, billable calls where relevant, applications, issued policies, retention and the time your team invested.

Questions worth asking a lead provider.

When was the interest recorded?

Ask for the lead-age definition and how the original enquiry was collected.

What did the person expect?

Understand the ad or form the person responded to. Your opening should match a genuine coverage conversation.

Who else receives it?

Clarify whether a record or call is shared, exclusive or resold, and what those words mean in the agreement.

What can be reviewed?

Check the provider’s billing, eligibility, reporting and credit-review terms before buying.

Contacting older records can raise consent and telemarketing questions. The fact that a record is for sale does not establish that every planned call or text is permitted. Have your compliance advisers review your intended process.

Where Adlux fits.

Adlux’s current published offer is inbound final expense calls, not aged contact lists. Signup is free. A funded wallet pays for billable calls, with a $225 minimum top-up and separate first-ten pricing for each source.

The best starting point is to understand the delivery model, pricing and setup rather than assume one product is automatically right for every agent.
